It seems to me that the real black hole is the continuing hate people have for Mr. Cashman.
Whatever Mr. Cashman's shortcomings may be, Shane has elected to continue their relationship. Despite the FoS petition and pressure from his own family, Shane feels that Mr. Cashman is satisfying his duties satisfactorally.
Shane is an adult and capable of making his own decisions about who should run his business affairs. Who am I to second-guess his decisions?
