Lanzarote? Very irish atmosphere, at least in some places, despite the island is under spanish government. I hope Shane has fun and comes back in good shape for the Christmas tour...

Just guessing here... but I think the established Pogues have less appeitite or patience to put up with any "antics", where as this new band, the members are likely thrilled to have a chance to record with him as they are less established. I suspect new material with the Pogues would have to blend together under a perfect storm of circumstances to work.

Shane just one member of the Pogues or an eighth if you want to get mathamatical about it (or a ninth by my somes until Phil pointed out it was eight)
