Saw them ages ago, opening for Chumbawamba, and thought they were terrible. But have heard them (on disc & live recordings) since and thought they were fabulous. Must have been an off night!

Will be a great night mate, wish i could be there

I have seen them there on a number of occasions but will not be able to make it on NYE as I will be working NYE and NY Day.

Saw Alabama 3 on wednesday , top top gig again, they are fantastic live, the new album is in my opinion on a par with Outlaw and behind Coldharbour lane is as good as anything they've done with a brilliant opening speech from Ray Winstone

They have released a couple of albums since Revolver Soul.

There Will Be Peace In The Valley...When We Get The Keys To The Mansion On The Hill was released earlier this year, it is predominantly the acoustic wing of A3 and includes a great cover of Joy Division's Love Will Tear Us Apart.

Shoplifting 4 Jesus came out a few weeks ago, I have got it but not yet had a chance to listen to it.

The new Alabama 3 album, Revolver Soul is out, it's fantastic, they have to be one of the most underrated bands around.
Shane appears on track 4, Fix It, you can catch a snippet from the itunes store, well worth a download but Shane's not in full flow, its a one liner repeated throughout but its great, buy the album lets get the Alabama 3 in the muthafuckingcharts

Just got this e-mail from the mighty Alabama 3, Looks like Shane has collaborated on their new album, sweetgodamprettymuthafuckingcountryacidhousemusicallnightlong
REVOLVER SOUL
At the band's own studio at Brixton’s underground venue Jamm, we have been hard at work on a new album of late -'Revolver Soul', due to be released in Spring 2010. The atmosphere in the studio could only be described as surreal, with an abundance of strange smells and sultry sounds permeating throughout the surrounding neighbourhood.
From the smoke filled, late night haze a shaken up Johnny Borrell from Razorlight emerged; witnesses can confirm the sighting of a (Fun Loving) Criminal Huey Morgan, and a spectre like Shane McGowan’s presence has been felt.
This is already shaping up to be a highlight in a career littered with them. This is the album that is destined to put ‘sweet pretty muthafucking country acid house music’ firmly back on the map!
We will keep you updated on the progress of the 'Revolver Soul' album in the website newsroom.
