Wasn't there then, but I saw them when they opened the Cambridge Folk Festival in 2005. Good live band, entertaining performance, and yes, every song was introduced with "this is a drinking song". :wink:

I thought he was fairly good. The band weren't great - should have got that lot from Podge & Rodge to do it (or that lot from Brixton ;) ). Also it could have done without the IrishRover-esque parody of an accent.

I thought it was a good performance, I turned it off after he'd finished, wasn't interested in anyone else.

He did Irish Rover. He got the words wrong but I've been told that might be for 'effect'. I've heard Family Mahone.. Thanks to Dawson. I woulldn't call them great.. Different, not great. :)
