It's really ridiculous that one can travel to London with 1/5 of the cost of the ticket to Bergen from Finland!

Which means you have to party for me there, too. I am missing the Bergen gig. That's a fact.

Bergen is further from here than London. :evil:

The airport is called Bergen lufthavn / Flesland.

It's operated by (I'll only list international flights):

* SAS / Braathens (from Copenhagen, London, Alicante)
* KLM (Amsterdam)
* norwegian.no (Paris, Prague, London, Dubrovnik, Nice, Malaga, Murcia(
* widerøe (Aberdeen)
* sterling.dk (Nice, Alicante, Malaga)
* Finnair (Helsinki via Stockholm)
* British Airways (Kirkwall)
* Lufthansa (Hamburg)

Or so it says on their site. No guarantees!

Sry about posting in Norwegian earlier, was in a hurry...

About Shane & band (in Norwegian).

"Foruten Shane på vokal består The Popes av Paul McGuiness (gitar, vokal), Tom McManamon (mandolin/banjo), Bob Dowling (bass, vokal), Andy Ireland (trommer), Brian Kelly (banjo, fele)."

The names should be understandable, though :)

So what does it say then????
I think youll find MacAnimall has left the band now due to "health" reasons!!!
But Brian Kelly is also a mighty fine banjo player and a highlight of the show
Wish i was going but its a bit off the beaten track reallly.I ve never been to Norway.Has Bergen got an airport?

Sorry i dont speak Norwegian

In addition to Shane The Popes consists of Paul McGuiness (guitar, vocal), Tom McManamon (mandoline/banjo), Bob Dowling (bass, vocal), Andy Ireland (drums), Brian Kelly (banjo, fiddle)."

Bergen does have an airport.

Uhm. I'm getting a bit shy as the years pass by, but if someone else organises something, I'll stop by for a pint. I have never set my foot in Bergen, so don't ask me about nice places!

I see that some people here are going to this gig. Should we try to organize a pre gig party for the people on the forum? Anyone from Bergen that could recomend a good pub? It would be great to see some of the people from this forum.

Cheers

It seems some swedish Shane freaks are going to see the man in Bergen.

The question is: how you guys are going to travel there?

I've found out that bus is naturally the cheapest way to travel from Stockholm to Bergen, but all good money-saving tips are welcome.

Guinness is awful expensive in Norway, you know?

Regardless of their ability to apply the colors consistently, I find their choice of colors amusing:

Shane MacGowan alone == Green
Shane + The Popes == Yellow ("Oh no! Better be cautious!")
The Popes == Red ("Dear God! No! NOOOOO!")

A poor choice of colors.
