Speaking English and German (and Norwegian helps too), it's easy to pick apart Dutch enough to understand it. It's not really an own language, just a lot of other languages tossed together and pronounced strangely
My fave Dutch expression: blöd gedooft (ok, written phonetically from a German POW)
