More than a year has passed. Time flies... Unbelievable...

Well, here's how the story runs.
Version of a man who had to deliver Shane to St.Patrick's party and failed...

Yeah, my tickets were refunded as well.

BP is the best. Great DJ and a class act.

I left close to 3am as well.
They are refunding. What a bummer that night was!!! I love BP and was kicking myself that I didn't get a photo with him walking around before the shows handing out flyers! He has got to be the cutest...

The tickets you purchased for St. Patrick's Night Death Disco 2nd
Anniversary at Southpaw on Friday, March 17 will be automatically
refunded since the event has been cancelled.

The cancelled event was:

St. Patrick's Night Death Disco 2nd Anniversary
special guest DJ SHANE MACGOWAN!!

Thank you for choosing TicketWeb.

BP said that tickets purchased online will be refunded. He also announced that Shane was "sick", but we have all heard this one before. I don't remember what time this was announced, but it was late and I was super drunk by this time.

I pestered the merch girl until she gave me 2 free posters. Then I left. Thanks to Justin from San Fran for hooking us up with a free ride back to our hotel. Don't know if I would have made it back in one piece otherwise.

Yeah. Did anyone stick around until the end?

By the way, BP Fallon was BRILLIANT.

Yeah.. So did Shane show up?

My friend and I left around 3AM when we heard the promoter talking on his cell phone say..

"Yeah. there were a lot of people but some have left. Where's Shane?"

Then a pause.. Then..

"Okay.. just PLEASE call me when you are on your way."

We figured he wouldn't make it there by last call at 4, so we took off..

Those tickets were expensive, too..

So did he show up?

No, it is South Brooklyn. South Brooklyn isn't the southern part of Brooklyn, it's west-northwest Brooklyn, north of Park Slope. Its name dates from the time it was the southern part of the original Dutch settlement of Brooklyn. It's safe/trendy/gentrified, filled with the old brownstones that would make you thinkof Woody Allen's Manhattan.

Southpaw...

For those with any concerns about the venue and Brooklyn's safety....it couldn't be in a nicer/safer place. It's a bit of a trek, but fast with the 2/3 from Times Square. And it's FAR form being in "South Brooklyn." I'd head there if I didn't have another place to be after the show.

I'd say more SOHO/Little Italy. Not Chinatown.

Technically, its in Litte Italy, which is probably why "The Godfather" scene was filmed there. Soho is further west and Chinatown is further south.

The picture posted by "tar" correctly shows "Old St. Patrick's Cathedral".
