Stars miss out on Musos

A DRUNKEN staggering Shane MacGowan was the rather bizarre highlight of last week's Musos 2005 Awards.

The Pogues frontman warmed up for his forthcoming Christmas tour by appearing on stage at Koko, Camden, but his performance was overshadowed by his entrance, when he took just three steps before falling over in a Vic Reeves' style comedy fall.

Once he'd been dragged to his feet, MacGowan joined the Lancaster Bombers for a rather odd rendition of She'll Be Coming Round The Mountain before stumbling off again, when he was supposed to be presenting the final award, the coveted Muso's Muso award to Primal Scream.

Musos Awards At KOKO This Month

Post by MacRua Fri Nov 11, 2005 8:11 am

according to http://www.ultimate-guitar.com :
"The Musos have returned. The only awards ceremony voted by musicians for musicians, the night will see the very best of British music praised by their peers.

The ceremony will be hosted by XFM’s Claire Sturgess, with guest presenters including the infamous Shane McGowan  , ex-Libertine Carl Barat, notorious writers Irvine Welsh, and Howard Marks and XFM’s John Kennedy. There will also be exclusive live performances from Athlete, DOGS, Metro Riots and the Young Offenders Institute with DJ sets from renowned rock n roll DJ’s including Primal Scream’s Mani. Expect many other surprise appearances on the night! "
