There's a much better clip here (NOT recorded on a ****ing phone!!)

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=kkMIfJw1hbg&NR=1

(Note: sadly, better quality video does not make Shane sound any more in tune!!)

"In all, the band played two sets of encores and brought out a surprise special guest in a top-hatted Shane McGowan, who struggled through a number before doffing his hat and disappearing off again, as the crowd provided him some warm applause."
The whole review of Nick Cave& The Bad Seeds gig in Dublin Castle by Longman Oz

"The proceedings were temporarily brought to a grinding (as opposed to Grinderman) halt by an ill-advised guest appearance from Shane McGowan, who delivered performed a shockingly brutal act of vocal GBH on The Bad Seeds’ Lucy that left all present feeling somewhat violated."
The whole commentary from thechancer.ie

On Saturday, May 3, Nick Cave played a gig at Dublin Castle, and Shane joined him for "Lucy".

Here are some first-hand reports from a lucky spectator:
(...) He [Nick Cave] only did two encores, which I was hoping for at least one more. But on the second Shane McGowan joined them and sang Lucy. He was ridiculously out of tune and time the way only he can pull off and it was incredible. The Dublin crowd responded so heartwarming for him that he could have belted out a scratchy yodel and it would have been well received.(...)
(posted at Livejournal by zuigiber - the whole review can be found here)

And here is a short video clip of Shane's performance:
