Will Shane break the smoking ban on the UK tour?

I got stuck for 8 hours in Auckland airport in NZ where the only legal way to smoke was to headout thru passport control and out of the building, which would've meant paying all kind of fees as we were on a stopover to somewhere else. During the 8 hours, I managed 4 smokes in the toilets and didn't get detected, I reckon I'll try it at the Academy.

i was at brixton about 3 weeks ago & when I asked the lad on the door about going out for a fag, he just laughed at me & said you'll have to wait till the end or go home early.

In other words, no smoking area

Actually, that would be quite funny to see when twelve securities will run on stage and grab Shane when he tries to light a fag...

Does someone know how the smoking ban is handled at the Brixton Academy? One time caught and you're out or what?
I also remember that it wasn't allowed to take your drinks with you at the Point (the ones in plastic cups you bought at the very same venue, of course), same rules in Brixton?

Since the smoking ban came in, apparently they've made the smoke detectors in one of my local venues more sensitive. Which has led to the fire alarm going off in the middle of two gigs that I've been to recently. :lol:

This can be a tad alarming for non-regulars who aren't used to it. "Too much smoke effect on stage," is the usual reason they give. :wink:
