Shane singing Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah - the complete song & video

Post by lucky6 Sun Aug 03, 2008 9:14 am

Hello. It’s the newbie again.

Since discovering this forum I’ve been catching up on some of the older threads and searching for discussions of gigs I’ve been to etc.

I stumbled upon a thread relating to the ‘Forest Of No Return - Hal Willner presents the Vintage Disney Songbook’, the concert that Shane took part in at Jarvis Cocker’s Meltdown last year – and realised that there didn’t seem to be any complete recordings of Shane singing Zip-a -Dee-Doo-Dah.

I was at the Forest Of No Return concert and did film Zip-a -Dee-Doo-Dah – and I got the complete song. I haven’t posted it before now as the picture quality is a bit substandard – Shane is a bit overexposed and the camera is not quite in focus. However, as there would not appear to be any other recordings of Zip-a -Dee-Doo-Dah on YouTube, I’ve decided to post it anyway.

I’ve tried to darken the picture and sharpen it up a bit and also tweaked the sound slightly.

Hope it was worth the wait!

I think I've corrected the problem. Let's try this again in a much smaller mp3 size:

(I hope whoever asked for this song on the other thread has found it over here.)

Many thanks for that (downloading it this very second). Look forward to listening to it in a tick, and thanks again, good on ya!

Nick.

Many thanks, strummercalling, despite the quality what a treat! Wish I had been there.

Thanks for the reports, great pictures Strummercalling, and we don't mind lousy quality, just put that recording up somewhere please!

It's 26Meg! Might be worthwhile converting to MP3 or something, currently it's a WAV file which is why it's so enormous...

Appreciate your efforts though.

Shane singing "Zip a dee Doo Dah"

Post by strummercalling Sat Jul 28, 2007 5:52 am

Since this hasn't surfaced anywhere else yet, and since someone requested it back in the Disney Songbook thread somewhere, I've put up my very bad recording of Shane doing "Zip a dee Doo Dah."

It sounded wonderful in person. But this was recorded on a mobile phone and the quality is not good at all, so consider yourselves warned.

(Not a direct download, so I hope this is in accordance with forum rules. But if there's anything wrong with it please let me know.)

That said, enjoy
