Thanks Lesh! It's been a fun day. I had my Christmas band concert at school. I play the trombone. I got pizza for dinner ( my favorite) and my mom made me an ice cream cake! OH yeah and the best thing , a X BOX . But really my favorite thing was all of the pogues fans B-DAY wishes! THANKS AGAIN!

Hi this is Callie Thank you for all of the birthday wishes everyone! And thanks mom for putting this on the forum.

I love the pogues and my favorite song is Sally Mac,Rainy night in Soho and of course Fairytale.
I hope the Pogues come to the US, but I don't think as bad as my mom wants them to. She said that if they come to the States, no matter where, we are soooooo going to see them!!!!!!

Thanks again everyone! HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

:D A Very Happy Birthday to you Callie. :D

My Junior Pogues fan is very grown up now but he has been a fan for ten years now and has seen the Pogues more than 20 times. We saw them again on Sunday and they were just as good as ever.

I hope you get to see them soon too.

Yep, hope you have a very happy birthday, Callie. My girls are all growed up now (well, sort of), but they've been fans all their lives too. Stick with the Pogues, you'll never go wrong!

Wishing Callie a very Happy Happy for her twelfth birthday! Don't follow those streams of whiskey just yet. A useful skill to develop in the meanwhile is hotwiring the Cadillacs with pins.

Well, the lessons paid off! My daughter plays trombone in hopes of being in the high school marching band and then on to UW Madison. She is trying like hell to play "Fairytale" on it for Christmas but I don't think the trombone is meant to play that song. I told her to try it on the keyboard. It'll take some time as she plays the keyboard by ear not sheet music. If she masters this on the trombone I'll treat all of you with the video footage.
Happy Thanksgiving to all it applies to!

She better be, after what we've spend on 10 years of lessons! :)

But yeah, thanks, i'm pretty impressed too, esp. since she used to be terrified of improvisation, and indeed only did her first ever 2 years ago.

Her older brother plays guitar. His first song was "Dirty Old Town". Right now he's working on "Classical Gas" so he's come some way himself!

Sitting at the Doctor's office with my then-7 year old. There's a picture of a healthy liver next to a hepatitis-infected, damaged liver, and she says "I think that's what Shane MacGowan's liver looks like."

Here's my difficult middle child jamming along with Billy Joel?! (You try to raise them well, but they end up into the devil music anyway, *sigh* )
