I love the video

Post by Elfarran Wed Aug 29, 2007 8:47 pm

I fell in love not only with the song but also with the music video of A Pair of brown eyes. It was directed by Alex Cox, wasn't it?

And I must say Jem is quite a talent. Both "old man" and "Granpa McMahon" are great!

I just don't understand why they censored the small part of the video. Ok, I'm not British and it was 80's. Anyway, I prefer the original clip.

It certainly looks like them.
Don't know about you, though, because I don't know what you look like.

 :D Nor do I, but it would be nice to know

I don't know if punkace is in the video, but I'm pretty sure the characters he's referring to are Elvis Costello and one of the guys from Aswad. From memory, one or two Shillelagh Sisters also appear in the live section.

I haven't seen the video for a while. From memory, I think the girl might be Shane's sister, Siobhan.

I guess he joined the band only afterwards, didn't he? Acoording to the Lost Decade, it seems Philip first played them onstage (as a temporary replacement for Jem) at the tour that followed after making the video.
