If you were to try Poguevision on eBay.co.uk you would find two genuine tapes in England - our postmen are reasonably reliable.

and a dodgy, bandit DVD 7-day listing, Ends 29-Nov-05 12:08:56 GMT from some place called los Angeles.

Er....not quite. Mary is Ann's sister.

This thread inspires legends and innuendo. could not refrain from. sorry :)

It supposed to be comics first. Mary took photos, then Ann was penning captions during ten days... captions were so great that finally were made into separate book - "the lost decade"
Oops, another legend... 8)

Now there's gratitude!!

As I recall, Neil Jordan asked for 3 days to shoot this film, which we could not spare as we were on a UK tour. As Shane indicates, we had to drive down to Hackney after a Liverpool show. Anyway, the discrepancy between what Neil wanted and what we were able to give him caused tension right from the start. That said, and given that ALL the Pogues (and La Kirsty)hated making videos, this was one of the least unpleasant experiences. At least Jordan did not have the threat of being pushed off a Gaudi apartment block in Barcelona hanging over him, unlike poor Ade Edmondson.

Graham Linehan went on, with Arthur Matthews, to create "Father Ted".
