Personally I hear it as:

One thing you can rely upon
You can't rely on anyone
There's no one left to call upon
Now you're so alone

A broken clock, a speeding train
Time is standing still again
Your juices seeping down the drain
Time marches on

Rose petals floating on the stream,
River of oblivion
I looked around and you were gone
Train kept rolling on

And I said to myself "it's the end"
And I looked but could not find a friend
And I wished I had never begun
This race which is already run

it's empty in the restless tomb
it's empty in the living room
The lights are on, there's no one's home
As evening falls again

The sun of man falls from the sky
The terminator has to die
Los Angeles is burning down,
I am not surprised

And I said to myself "it's the end"
And I looked but could not find a friend
And I wished I had never begun
This race which is already run

Never seen a man look so forlorn
Sundown 'till the break of dawn
Face down and his clothes all torn
Wandering this town

Way out beyond the blackest stump
A woman sucked a bone dry pump
With lonely distance in her eyes
She slowly walked away

Love is gone my love is dead
No butter and there is no bread
Everything that's good is gone
Train kept rolling on

And I said to myself "It's the end"
And I looked but could not find a friend
And I wished I had never begun
This race which is already run

I think the lyrics go something like this:

One thing you can rely upon
You can't rely on anyone
There's no one left to call upon
Now you're so alone

A broken clock, a speeding train
Time is standing still again
Your juice is seeping down the drain
Time marches on

Rose petals flowing on the stream,
River of oblivion
I looked around and you were gone
Train kept rolling on

And I said to myself "it's the end"
And I looked but could not find a friend
And I wished I had never begun
This race which is already run

it's empty in the restless tomb
it's empty in the living room
The lights are on, there's no one's home
As evening falls again

The sun of man falls from the sky
The terminator has to die

surely this line reads "I wished I had never begun" not "...been gone?"

Hey Scott! You nearly got it! Try to play the B a little bit later (the G lasts a bit longer...)
Like this:

Em
One thing you can rely upon
A
You can't rely on anyone
G
With no one left to call upon

Now you're so (B) alone
Em
A broken clock, a speeding train
A
your damaged baggage here again
G
your gypsey suitcase down the drain

Time marches (B) on
Em
those panic morning on the screen,
A
river of oblivion
G
I looked around but you were gone

Train kept rolling (B) on

And so on...
Have fun! Cheers,
Jan :P

And a perfectly good atempt it was too, lass. Very resourceful use of the digital resource, so to speak. It's often hard to be 100% accurate with getting the right song, because of minor variations in the titles. Always make sure that, if you can, you check the site you're getting the lyric from to see if they mention who WROTE the song, or at least who has performed or recorded it.
But as I said, I was impressed by how fast you pasted/posted your original response. :)

One thing you can rely upon
You can't rely on anyone
With no one left to call upon
Now you're so alone

A broken clock, a speeding train
your damaged [?] here again
your [??] down the drain
I am not ...

No pair of clothing on the screen, [I keep wavering on this line too, the
other day it sounded like something floating on the screen] river of
oblivion
I looked around but you were gone
Train kept rolling on

And I said to myself "it's the end"
And I looked but could not find a friend
And I wished I had never been gone
This race which is already won

it's empty in the westward doom
it's empty in the living room
the lights are on but no one home
you left home again

the su [?] man brought down the sky
The terminator has to die
Los Angeles is burning down,
I am not surprised

chorus

this scene of man looks so forelorn
so until the break of dawn
face down and his clothes all torn
wandering this town

[something something] blackest hump
a woman suffered right lump [??? I'm pretty certain this is wrong]
lonely distance in her eyes
and slowly walked away

love is gone my love is dead
no further and there is no breath
everything that's good is gone
train kept rolling on

And I said to myself "It's the end."
And I looked but cannot find a friend
And I wished I had never been gone
This race which is already done
