It not only contains every record, CD and cassette ever released by the Pogues and their side projects, but almost every pressing.
Often there are also test pressings and/or acetates and objects signed by the members of the band.
A highlight are certainly the unreleased demo recordings, which in one case (Travelling People / Donegal Express) even served as a matrix.
Of treasures like the first single as a tour copy with the sticker showing the face of an old woman, there is not even a picture on the internet, let alone that this rarity was ever sold there.
A list of all objects can be found here: http://shanemacgowan.de/Discography/Juergen.doc
In addition, there is an extensive press archive that Ingrid Knetsch had compiled at the time as well as many live recordings of concerts.
Offers to take over the complete collection are welcome, but please no offers to buy individual objects. The unique collection should stay together.

Sorry you're having to sell your collection. It looks most impressive.

Like DzM, I wish I could afford to take it off your hands. But then again, Mme firehazard would probably kill me.

In a way I feel kinda badly for you that that part of the collecting bug never caught you. I recall searching for the Jack's Heroes CD single for years and being absolutely over the moon when, one day, I finally found a record shop in the UK that was willing to ship it. I had held it in my hands in a record shop in San Francisco one afternoon but couldn't afford it at the time. "No problem," says I. "I'll just pick it up next month." And years went by before I found that shop in the UK. That was a real joy.

Hey' don't feel bad for me. I already have every release in every format and got them on the very first day of their release, plus more!

FLAC is actually relatively new to me as I had no computer experience up until a few years ago. Hence why I was a late comer to this forum.

If only I knew how to send a picture of my collection.

I've also helped loads of others on this forum with these shows below for FREE!!!

I think for some collectors having the artifact is an important part of the collection. It's not just about having a library full of FLAC files; it's about having one of the test pressings, or the poster, or the CD card insert, or the signed-by-the-whole-band poster, etc.

Juergen has some fantastically rare items in his collection. I truly wish I could justify purchasing the whole lot from him.

Largest Pogues collection in the world for sale

Post by Juergen Thu Jun 16, 2022 10:07 am

The time has come. Over many, many years I have accumulated the biggest Pogues collection in the world.

In addition, there is an extensive press archive that Ingrid Knetsch had compiled at the time as well as many live recordings of concerts.
Offers to take over the complete collection are welcome, but please no offers to buy individual objects. The unique collection should stay together.
