... and i also learned there was a "Special DJ Version" release of Rainy Night In Soho:
https://www.discogs.com/The-Pogues-A-Ra ... e/10765988

I wonder if that is the "Oboe Version", anybody have this and can confirm/deny?

Edit: i see wikipedia says (North American mix featuring oboe is 5:47) so i suppose that's likely, as this version is listed as being 5:47 (and, of course, wikipedia is *never* wrong, right?)

I also learned that there was a promo single released, in Germany at least, for London Girl/Rainy Night . A 2-track single from an 4-track EP, with 1/2 the songs on the same size of wax. Oh the curious wonders of the record industry...

I have cataloged it here now, preserved for the ages :) Will be interesting to see if any others show up.

Let me know if i made any mistakes. I see that you did say it was the 7", which surprised me, as it was 33 1/3, but of course it's not that unusual for a 7" to play at that speed, or vice-versa.

because "misprint" is an option under "Description", but there are none entered. If you like, you can send me pics/scans of the labels, & i'll create an entry for it (just PM me i'll give you my email).

Also... how long have you owned this that you've only just noticed :)

Photos taken & PM sent. Side 1 is stamped BUY 243 A & Side 2 is stamped BUY 243 B but as I said both have the Side 1 label.

I was only 13 when Poguetry came out. I didn't own a vinyl version at the time but a taped copy. I only bought the copy in question in the last few years off the net. I just never noticed the label until I went to play it the other night.

Anyone come across this before? Apologies if this has been discussed previously.
