Apple Radio

Post by Mike from Boston Sat Jan 25, 2014 1:59 pm

So now being in the 50 plus demographic and in possession of a mini-iPad, I was playing around with the iPad and realized there was a radio app. There are "stations" for all different genre-Classic Rock, 80's Rock, Celtic, etc. The Celtic channel plays a pretty wide variety-Chieftains, Christy Moore, Clannad, and other acts that don't begin with C!

After occasionally using the radio app for a few months, I figured out they had a search tool and typed in the Pogues. There is a "Pogues" channel. Not bad, I guess they play anything in the genre or connected with the Pogues-in limited listening I have heard FTONY, Sally Mac, Shane/Popes-Nancy Whiskey and Donegal Express, plus the Clash, Tossers and DKMs. Some other stuff that maybe those younger and hipper than me may know. Worth a listen if you have an Apple device.
