he passed away years ago, his son is alive and lives in australia and was a boxer as well. I might try and get some more pictures of him!

Hughie certainly did not have 11 fingers. Our designer awarded him "one louder" because of course, unlike "Love", the word "Peace" needs 5 knuckles. Is he still alive?

Did anyone ever figure out if the boxer on Peace and Love is indeed Port Glasgow Boxer Hugh Cameron?

I was wearing a t-shirt at the gym today with the Peace and Love cover and I was embarrassed not to know who the boxer was when asked.

What a lame fan I am....

1. Scroll up to the top o' this here thread.
2. Have a look at the third post, from Mr. C., dated 25 September, 2005.
3. Have a look at the fourth post, a follow-up question from D. MacG, also dated 25 September, 2005.
4. Have a look at the fifth post wherein Mr. C. addresses the fourth post.

The answer to your question lies within those posts, dawson.

:) Not if you believe the 12th post, from Guest (March 17th at 2.09pm)!

exactly yes. and what reason would guest have to lie?

The reason I ask is that his son told me that it was his father. And that he did have 11 fingers.

Hugh Cameron doesn't have eleven fingers, so I'd say that rules him out.

For years I thought that was a woman on the Fairytale cover...sorry Spider! (I think it was the hair, and to be honest its mostly shot from behind...)

Simon Ryan is an often overlooked component of the Pogues story.

Do you remeber his name?
