So I think to answer to your question - they certainly share many of the some chords, the instrumentals are different though.

I'm not a musician, so I have no idea about notes/chords - but I've never thought those songs sounded the same. The tempo of Sea Shanty is much slower.

which, i'm not getting on them for, there's only so many chords.
