Great sound and song selection. I have a rather specific question. Does someone have the Australian edition, and, if so, are the 'stickers' actually printed on the booklet, or are they on the jewel box as usual? Also, is the green bus edition different from the red one?

That's a really nice album cover. I'd buy that on a t-shirt - or a poster. Yeah, isn't it crushing that there is no new music available? Nobody has that sound! They're all alive, all healthy - enough :). Saw them at O2. Shane was fantastic too, and I was ready to rely on the band entirely. Great band! Great band! Great musicians. So many capable song writers in one band you'd think it'd be the easiest thing to come up with a new album (with or without Shane). Yes, PC has some favorites - not sure why First Day in Forever was kept off of Herb (or for that matter the excellent b-sides from that album were better than most songs - Train Kept Rolling On!!).

More importantly, will the band be touring in the US soon to promote this NEW compilation and the DVD?

Thank you for your compliment, but I believe the matter of new material is an entirely separate issue, one that does not look like changing anytime soon.

We have no control over compilations. At best, we get to OK the track listings. There'll be another one in the UK in March by the way. Self-evidently, they are not designed to be bought by people who already have the material. Believe it or not, there are people out there without a Pogues record.

Thats fair enough, i once saw christy moore giving out stink over record companies making compilations that he didnt want out. What he did to combat it was release enough new material to keep all his fans happy. Yourself and Shane are my two favorite songwriters of all time. If songwriters block is the problem all you have to do is look at how great songs like come to the bower, irish rover, etc were made sound. I know i sound like a disrespectful asshole saying this on the official pogues page but its a valid point dont you think? Its also an age old argument :?

I must have a drawer full of best of's along with more live albums that have more or less the same set as they are only choosing songs from the same few albums. Getting a bit bored of it all now. Nothing new, same old same old. From the point to the rds to the olympia to no shows in Ireland. Why? Cause we've heard it all for the last 25 years. At least when The Popes were on the go Shane could throw in a few from the 2 albums to mix it up but this is gettin really tiresome. Spongers!!! Write a new song or hang up yer boots with the tiny bit of credibility ya have left......ooorrrr keep playing to expats and christmas drinkers mad to hear fairytale live.

Throw in Star of the County Down and Fiesta and you have one fine set list there. (OK, yeah, the order is all wrong. Dog as track 4? Crazy talk. Still - a fine set list.)
