OK. So now my best guess is Burt Glinn took the original pic.

oh. man, i'm looking pretty ignorant now, yeesh. and i call myself a photographer and a fan of the rat pack. Either way, the original is great and the revamp is a good use of appropriation (which is usually a bad word, with good reason). Hopefully either artist will surface...
