I've been hoping and assuming that Cait will be there, but we know very little about these gigs, so who knows? Don't know who else will sing "I'm A Man..." if she's not. Sort of wouldn't mind hearing Mr Ranken sing it, though it would be somewhat different.

Yeah, we still don't know about Cait, it would be a shame if she's not there. But maybe it will be sung by whoever the guest singer is on Fairytale. Ella Finer? I think it would also suit Terry, but again it would have a totally different meaning and effect with a man singing it.

And I'd love for them to do The Cats of Brixton! :)

They're of Kilkenny. They'll be performing an away gig at Brixton.  8)

Nobody screams like Shane. Lawd knows I have tried. He has to do it. Though possibly he could do it from within his tent of delights.

I hope Cait will be there to help with the screams. If not, I'd be happy to contribute a few ear-splitting ones of my own. I'm going to start learning how to scream along with that one.

Best Pogues bass line ever.

My favorite....guess not technically an instrumental even though there's no lyrics....is Japan.

Actual instrumentals, probably Metropolis

It's funny how I know some things would make my life happier and an album of Pogues instrumentals would be one of them. THe Battle March Medley makes me so happy to hear, and that bit at the end of Lullaby of London, the Rocky Road in between the two songs. But what I am talking about is new instrumentals... That would be nice. Something nice for the fans. We're due aren't we? It's been 2 or 3 years since the box set. Oh! That's right... we're getting the live thing... Is it appropriate to call them underrated musically? Too much attention draw towards Shane? Whatever. thanks for everything Pogues.

No, you're wrong. It's the one the lads have only ever played live and they never know before the gig whether they'll even play it.

It's the one when Shane gets distracted and misses his cue and looks bemused for about 30 seconds whilst the band play an instrumental waiting for him to get his shit together. They all look really serious until Shane finally kicks in and then usually Terry and James roar laughing and Spider rolls his eyes to heaven.

It's ALWAYS my favourite. 8)

You mean the Extended Dance Remix Version of whichever the selected song happens to be?

Extended mash-up more like. We once (in Cork) got through "A Pair of Brown Eyes" without a single line of lyrics being uttered.

Now, That's What I Call An Instrumental.
