FTONY was re released a few years back with an instrumental version on the B side (if they still exist).

Here are links to legal karoke versions of Fairytale and Irish Rover. You'll have to pay for these (2 euro each). For cover versions, they aren't too bad. You can choose to have vocals, none or backing vocals. There is also a facility to reduce the volume or remove any of the instruments played on the track They are in the original keys and tempo.

I've used the site a few times and no problems.

As I listened to the boxed set, it got me thinking: Has any Pogues music been released without the vocal tracks or in a karaoke format?

If not, is it something that would even be feasible? I just think it would be cool to be able to sing along to the real music, letting us fans channel our inner Shane/Spider/Philip/Terry/Andrew/Cait/Kirsty etc.

And if no one has ever brought it up, consider this a formal request. :)
